It all began with a dream…..Hilary first discussed the need for a conditioning & rehabilitation facility in Southern Alberta in 2008. At that time it was merely a dream. Fast forward to 2020 and that dream is a reality! Hilary, born & raised on her family’s ranch south of Suffield, began riding at a very young age - checking & chasing cattle along side her father. Not long after she became involved in 4-H & then her true passion, barrel racing. Travelling all over Alberta & Saskatchewan competing in the CCA,CRA & ABRA associations she quickly learned the value of keeping her horses in top shape. Hilary has completed her Equine Science Diploma, Equine Sports Therapy and Equine Nutrition certificate along with numerous continuing education courses to further her knowledge.

Holsom Equine is truly a family affair for the Blanchettes and every horse is ensured to get plenty of treats from Hilary’s two girls, Kate and Tessa. When the girls aren’t helping around the barn you’ll find them sneaking treats to anyone that will come to the gate for a visit.

Hilary goal is to keep the business small so every horse that comes into the facility gets to leave feeling like family.
